General Investigations Unit

Detectives within this unit are trained to investigate a wide range of crimes, including: Homicide, robbery, assaults, domestic violence, sex-related crimes, theft, burglary, weapon violations, threats, fraud, identity theft, vandalism, missing persons, and juvenile offenses.

These detectives spend many hours following up on information, pursuing leads, conducting interviews, and solving crimes. They submit cases against criminals and work in close cooperation with the Orange County District Attorney's Office for successful prosecution. While assigned to the General Investigation Unit, detectives receive advanced training related to their individual caseload assignments.  We are also fortunate to work very closely with Waymakers OC,  an organization that provides resources for victims and people in crisis.
