With the current renaissance of food, people are embarking on new taste adventures with gusto! From appetizers to desserts, food lovers will nibble to their hearts content while amateur chefs offer their delicious fare for three glorious hours. The annual fundraiser has been benefiting The Children’s Museum at La Habra’s programs for the past 25 years. Local amateur chefs ranging from firefighters to city officials are invited to cook their specialties from appetizer to dessert and are then judged by professional chefs, food critics and eminent restaurateurs. Past dishes have included an award-winning savory Mousaka, scrumptious Chocolate Covered Bacon, and spicy Chorizo Paella. The public will delight in the marvelous delicacies prepared with the utmost of care for taste and presentation. To complete the afternoon, raffle prizes and silent auction items will be available. Gourmet Guys raises nearly $40,000 each year for the Children’s Museum at La Habra to help fund educational exhibits and programs for children and their families.
