The AARP Tax-Aide Program will assist low- and moderate-income prepare their 2015 income tax returns with the Federal Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board. Hours of assistance are Fridays, 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m., beginning on February 5th and ending on April 15th. You should be prepared to spend 1-2 hours having your taxes prepared, and your returns will be filed electronically. Please bring the following items with you:
Social Security cards/official Identification for yourself & dependents
*A copy of your 2014 income tax returns
*W-2 forms from each employer
*Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement, if you enrolled for Premium Tax Credit
*Unemployment Compensation statements.
*SSA-1099 form for Social Security benefits received.
*1099-R forms for pensions/annuities received.
*All forms showing federal & state income taxes you paid for 2015.
*Dependent care provider information (name, employer ID, Social Security number).
*receipts/canceled checks if itemizing deductions, e.g. taxes, interest, medical, charity.
