Training Program
CERT consists of approximately 20 hours of training that includes disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact residents' lives, terrorism and disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, medical triage and disaster medical operations. CERT training is offered in a series of three Saturday classes, and it is free of charge. Teens, accompanied by parents, are also eligible to participate. The Spring 2017 session is scheduled to be held April 1, 8, 15, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
